Modernising Iconic Spaces with Precision Design and Façade Solutions
The recently renovated TL Robertson Library at Curtin University offers students state-of-the-art learning facilities and a refreshed, modern exterior. Contracted by Lendlease, Constructive PD was responsible for the complete design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of the building’s external cladding and curtain wall.
Paying homage to the original brutalist architecture, the renovation incorporated raw materials, including the distinctive Redcore steel perforated curtain wall to the service tower. CPD’s design and engineering teams navigated the unique challenges of this renovation, combining modern materials with a respect for the building’s architectural history to deliver an exceptional result.
CPD managed the entire process, from design and engineering to fabrication and installation, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
The renovation paid tribute to the building’s brutalist roots with the installation of Redcore steel perforated curtain walls, adding both function and aesthetic value.
The renovation transformed the library into a modern hub for students, with facilities that match the refreshed exterior.
