Delivering Durability and Design to Regional Education Facilities
Constructive PD partnered with ADCO to deliver a high-performance facade package for the redevelopment of Port Hedland Senior High School (SHS), a critical facility in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. This project required materials that could withstand harsh environmental conditions while contributing to a modern and striking design.
The scope included the supply and installation of durable Corten steel cladding, an aluminium cassette system, and CFC soffit linings. The use of Corten steel brought a unique weathered aesthetic that blended seamlessly with the rugged Pilbara landscape, while the aluminium and CFC components provided lasting functionality and a clean, modern finish.
The weathered texture of Corten steel cladding added character to the building, reflecting the natural tones of the Pilbara region.
The aluminium cassette system provided durability and precision, ensuring the facade could endure the region’s demanding environmental conditions.
Constructive PD installed CFC soffit linings, offering a clean, low-maintenance solution for the school’s overhead structures.
Every element of the project was designed and installed to meet the unique challenges of the Pilbara’s climate, ensuring longevity and performance.
The extreme heat, high UV exposure, and potential for cyclonic winds required careful material selection and precise installation.
Coordinating the transport and delivery of materials to Port Hedland posed logistical challenges that were efficiently managed.
